Beyond Barriers Intimacy and Dating is a beloved passion project where people with high physical support needs can access assisted intimacy, sexual health and education. Beyond Barriers was founded by local Brisbane sex worker Avalon. Avalon found through experience found that a wide variety of people were disenfranchised from participating in sexual expression.

Beyond Barriers is dedicated to ensuring those with disabilities still live active lives filled with safe, satisfying and consensual sex and intimacy. Everyone's individual needs are different, and a variety of services are available to help achieve sexual satisfaction and/or independence, including:
